The project is a restaurant located in Phú Mỹ Hưng, an established urban district governed by strict building regulations that largely predefine the architectural form. Within this context, the design is approached as an experiment to uncover an internal rhythm operating within fixed constraints. By retaining the existing rigid structural frame, the intervention focuses on reorganizing form and proportion to soften the perception of the original mass.
The primary architectural gesture is articulated through the façade. Solid and void are recalibrated along the vertical axis, generating a new visual rhythm while remaining strictly compliant with regulatory limitations. Projections are carefully measured and restrained, functioning mainly as platforms for planting and architectural detailing. Rather than acting as expressive elements, these components form a mediating layer that softens the building envelope and reduces the visual weight of the existing mass, allowing the façade to engage its urban surroundings in a quiet, controlled manner.
Inside, the same design attitude continues through the introduction of subtle curves set against an otherwise orthogonal layout. Lighting is applied with restraint to blur rigid geometric boundaries and add depth to the interior. A warm yellow tone establishes the overall atmosphere, creating a sense of intimacy, while glossy orange furnishings and lighting accents introduce moments of contrast. This interplay creates a contemporary dialogue with the raw, textured wall surfaces, completing the spatial experience with balance and restraint.
